Samsung Galaxy S II

I bought a Samsung Galaxy S II recently. A black one indeed. Well I'm gonna start with the packaging first. The phone comes with a very small packaging. The box just literally fit the phone. Inside the box, you can find everything there despite the small packaging. There are a charger, earphone with microphone of course, USB cable, battery, couples of manuals, and definitely the phone. The phone feels pretty solid in my hand and the build quality is pretty good. It feels really light despite the size of the phone. I don't really like the earphone though. It feels like a really cheap earphone. Come on Samsung you should have provided better earphone with this flagship phone.

The phone features a 4.3 inches Super AMOLED Plus screen by Samsung and powered by a massive Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor. It has 8 megapixels camera that is capable of recording 1080p video and a 2 megapixels front camera for video calling. The internal memory is 16GB expendable via micro SD card and a 1GB RAM. This phone definitely on top of the rank by looking at the figures only.

This is my first Android phone. The only reason that I bought an Android phone is due to the applications. Android is an open platform so you can get many applications for free legally in the Android Market. For an example, Angry birds is available for free in this platform only. For other platform, you have to pay for it. So that is one of the reason that I bought this phone. Besides, Android is popular with heavy customization. You can actually change everything on the phone according to what you want your phone to look like.

The phone is really fluid. You can go inside and maneuver around the menu and application smoothly. It really delivers a great performance. Everything is so fluid and smooth and I can say it is on par with the iPhone if not better. The screen is really bright and the color is really vivid. In my opinion, it is the best screen on mobile phone. The viewing angle and sunlight eligibility is great.

The things that I like about this phone is it has a great keyboard due to the big screen, a great 8 megapixel camera, great screen, many good games and applications. Overall I think this phone is amazing. It does the job smoothly and it has a lot to offer in term of functionality and also look. So below here you can find the screen shots of the phone.

My Food

How are you doing? I hope everybody is doing fine. So I'm gonna talk about food now. I don't have any problem on food because I can find halal food just about everywhere. Graz has like 40% Turkish and as you know, they are muslim. They usually open a restaurant selling the famous Doner Kebap. I ate that a lot I'm telling you. Their kebap is totally different from Malaysia. Their kebap is very big and delicious!

Turkish also open groceries shop where I can buy a lot of stuff for cooking. I can also get halal meat there. So food is not a problem here. We usually cook for dinner.

Other than that, what I can buy here to satisfy my hunger is pizza. I love pizza here! I usually buy the frozen pizza and bake it in the oven for like 15 minutes and there you go! Pizza here is really cheap. One margherita pizza costs only 0.53 Euro and the size is like the medium pizza in Pizza Hut. However, I can only buy Margherita pizza here since other pizza contains non-halal meat. Margherita pizza consists only cheese and tomatoes. So what I usually do is to put sausages on top of the pizza and put some more extra cheese to make it more mouth watering! so that's it. Best pizza ever for 0.53 Euros. I usually have it for my lunch.

Sometime, I cook for my lunch too. Just a simple dish. I don't care if it delicious or not as long as I'm full, I'm happy!

First day in Graz

Salam and Hi,

It's been a while since my last post. Have been very busy lately. So for those who didn't know, I'm doing my internship in Graz, Austria for 7 months starting 3rd of October. I arrived in Graz on 23rd September. This is my first time being in a different country for a long time. In addition to that, this is also my first time going to 4 seasons country.

I can say that the weather is bearable for me even though sometime it gets really cold. Now its autumn and winter is coming in about 1 more month. The temperature now is like 15 in maximum and 0 in minimum. The figure is quite extreme, I know but its ok. One thing that I don't like here is rain. I can tell you, Its gonna be miserable. When it rains, its gonna be all day long. The weather will be like REALLY cold and I cannot stand standing outside for more than 1 hour. Its really cold like freezing cold! That's why weather forecast here is really important so that u will be prepared to wear proper cloth or to bring raincoat or umbrella in your bag. But rite now the temperature is dropping by day and it gets colder. I can't imagine how I'm gonna survive in winter soon.

Other thing that I would like to say is that European is very tall. I'm like very intimidated(silent T as Harry potter) by their height. I am like their shoulder height. I wish I can be taller. But there is always a positive side to everything. I get to buy kids clothes! how lame is that. NO its not lame. Kids clothes is always cheaper like real cheap even though its branded. I bought many clothes from HnM and my winter jacket cost only 15 Euros compared to the adult jacket that cost >50 Euros. Good deal isn't it?

Salam and hi,

I'll be going to Graz, Austria for my Internship training for 8 months. OMG there are soo many things that I need to know! FYI this is my first time traveling very far from Malaysia before this I just travel to the countries which are near to Malaysia such as Singapore and Brunei. And it is a direct flight. Now, I have one transit at Amsterdam. Worst part of all, I'm traveling alone!!!!!!! 3 of my friends are using other flight which is Lufthansa. I'm using KLM. Hopefully everything is ok.

Btw, here are the summary of my 31 hour journey.

KLIA - Amsterdam

Amsterdam - Vienna

At Vienna, I have to take train to Graz but it aint easy.

I have to change for about 4 times to reach Graz.

OMG. hopefully everything is smooth.

I've been trying to learn German language through a software. So far so good i guess. But the software is somehow very slow and the progress is very small. I learned the same thing over and over again. hmmm.... anyhow, I have to learn at least the basic of the language. how to introduce myself and etc. so that i can survive there later.

I can consider the language is a little bit hard to master for a total noob like me. The pronunciation somehow is very different. for example, they pronounce 'Wasser' as Vazzer. German pronounce S as Z and W as V. they also pronounce 'R' differently. like 'arrrr' project the sound through your throat not your tongue. worst part of all, they add something like the letter with a double dot on top of it. for example is -- Ö.. I dont have any idea how to pronounce it and not only this, the double dot letter exist on every vowels!

Btw, let me teach you something in German.

Trinkt = Drink

Milch = Milk

Das Madchen = The girl

so, if you want to write the girl is drinking milk, simply connect all the words above.

"das Madchen trinkt Milch"

Testing new photo editing software

I found this software in the internet. It is very easy to use. The interface is simple, yet very functional. I can easily edit multiple photos automatically using the same setting. simple enough rite? Besides, it also has a filter which can filter your photos in many design such as lomo. cool rite! The most important thing is that it's FREE. No need to find cracked version or whatever it is. Anyway, here are the sample photos that I edited using the software. I'm still in the learning process, so don't expect much ok.

I want to buy a camera. preferably a compact one.

I have listed a few cameras that caught my eyes.

1 - Canon SX230

This one is suggested by my friend, Amsya. I think it is a great camera

based on the specs sheet. But there is no white/silver color version.

2 - Nikon P300

This one i found it in the internet. Most of the review gave positive feedback

about it.

3- Sony HX7V

My friend has been using this one. Overall, the performance is good.

4- Sony Nex 3

Actually, this one is my first choice. It is a compact camera with interchangeable

lenses. The design is very sophisticated and elegant. But the thing is, this one

is too big to carry around. I dont know if this is the one that I've been looking for.

Salam and Hye!

My busy days has already started last week.

ouuuch!

Everyday our lecturer will give one assignment and it need to be

submitted one day after that.

Not to forget the confusing report and days full of lecture

and labs.

sometime i think that i want to give up, but

after thinking about it, how it will affect my life later on,

what will my family think about me, my friends and so on,

i become more strong and determined to continue and finish anything

that has been assigned to me.

Hey, that's what students should do! why should i feel bad about it.

This kind of life is what we actually call as the real Student Life.

Hey, i should be strong to face all of that. if not, how am i gonna

survive the working life later on.

so, today my classmates and me are going to break our fast

together at the academic building with our lecturers.

Overcoming the laziness

whooooooouh! i just realized that i only make 1 post per semester.

what a jerk i am!! i know i have to be super rajin to update my blog..

but i just can't!

I guess this is my second blog. the first one has been deleted due to some problems which are laziness and ....(the other one is hard to explain).

final exam is just around the corner, 17 more days to go and i did nothing about it!.
i guess i have to start revising my notes and hopefully i can catch up all the subjects especially vector calculus.

in order to boost my spirit, i've made a wallpaper for my notebook because i can't think of anything else.
